Patanol description
Antihistamine tablets and nasal sprays are not designed to relieve allergy eyes directly. Patanol is the only medication that contains antihistamines specifically for the eye. Since it goes right to the source of the problem, Patanol relieves itchy, red, watery eyes far more effectively and in less time than other treatments for allergies.
Patanol drug is an approved medication/substance by the FDA
How to take Patanol

Patanol picture
Use Patanol exactly as directed by your doctor. Apply one drop of Patanol in each eye two times a day at intervals of 6 to 8 hours. If you wear contact lenses remove them before using Patanol, then wait at least 10 minutes before re-inserting them. Also, be careful not to touch the tip of the bottle to any surface. The eye dropper is sterile. If it becomes contaminated, it could cause an infection in your eye.
Patanol precautions
Do not use Patanol if you have a bacterial, viral, or fungal infection in your eye. Also, avoid touching the dropper to any surface, including your eyes or hands. The dropper is sterile. If it becomes contaminated, it could cause an eye infection. Patanol contains a preservative called benzalkonium chloride. Therefore, you should not wear contact lenses while applying this medication. If you wear contact lenses, take them out before you use Patanol, then wait at least 10 minutes before re-inserting them. During treatment, avoid other eye drops unless your doctor approves.
Side effects of Patanol
Less serious side effects of Patanol that may occur during treatment include the following: burning, stinging, irritation, itching, redness, or dryness of the eyes; swollen eyelids, stuffy or runny nose, headache, or changes in taste. If you experience any of these side effects, continue to use Patanol and consult with your doctor.
