How to take Transderm-scop
To prevent motion sickness: Apply one Transderm SCOP patch at least 4 hours before travel time. Select a hairless area of skin behind one ear. Wipe the area clean with a dry tissue. Peel the package open and remove the patch. Remove the clear plastic backing. Apply the adhesive surface (metallic side) to the dry area of skin behind the ear. Wear the Transderm SCOP patch for up to 3 days.
Transderm-scop precautions
Transderm SCOP patches are meant for adults. The safety and effectiveness of Transderm SCOP patches with children has not yet been determined. If you are planning to use Transderm SCOP in conjunction with a scheduled surgery, apply the patch the evening before. While using Transderm SCOP you should: Limit your consumption of alcohol. Use caution when driving or operating heavy machinery. Apply a new patch after 3 days. Wash your hands thoroughly after each application. Wear only one patch at a time. Keep the patch as dry as possible.
Side effects of Transderm-scop
If you experience extremely rare but serious side effects such as allergic reaction, confusion, agitation, hallucinations, paranoid behavior, or delusions stop using Transderm SCOP and seek medical attention. The most common side effect experienced by people using Transderm SCOP is dry mouth, which occurs in two thirds of people.
